What is the best custom firmware for my laptop?

Updating BIOS won't result in better performance, you can improve the performance by updating some of your hardware, give information of your RAM, CPU and HDD.

    Why updating the BIOS?
If you have issues with hardware compability, performance or any situation in a BIOS update that may solve the case, it’s worth searching on the internet for alternative solutionsand this process may be the best way out.

    My hardware is fine dude.

No offense meant but you don't seem to understand what BIOS does- especially that you've called it "firmware" earlier.

There's no similarity between firmware of a router or a smartphone (which is in fact a operating system- usually Linux-based with its own kernel, set of drivers etc) and a BIOS which is more like a loader than anything else.

Updating BIOS might solve some issues i.e. if you want to upgrade the CPU but the CPU is more recent than your motherboard and the microcode can't be recognized by BIOS. There are also other minor fixes but more recent BIOS is by no means faster than the older one (unless the bug fixed by new BIOS would be i.e. RAM not working at full speed).

On top of that BIOS 3.60 is the most recent one for your notebook so there's nowhere to go.
There may exist a BIOS with unlocked advanced options but this doesn't help performance or compatibility either.

Point being- ellalan is right and you have the most recent BIOS so the whole thing is pointless.

HAAA ! Now i understand, thank you very much downloads

I take this chance to take some doubts.

I already put 2x4GB of RAM on my laptop. And now I want to upgrade my CPU.
According to my researches, his System Bus only seems to accept until 667 MHz. (correct me if I'm wrong please) so it looks like the best 5 CPU for him are:

    Intel Core 2 Duo
    T5500
    T5600
    T7200
    T7400
    T7600

What do you have to say ? Am I right ?

No, you can only go up to 2GB max RAM on this model, I'm trying to get a 5610 MB for the very same reason.
Acer Aspire 5610z Motherboards come with i943 chipset
Acer Aspire 5610 Motherboards 945 chipset.
