Recently purchased Aspire 5610 (T2060, 1 GB RAM, 120 GB HD, Vista). Converted to XP Pro. Notice an intermittent BSOD for about 1/4 second a few seconds after MSFT Welcome Screen appears followed by reboot. My software installation is known to be stable.

    Any suggestions?

I just purchased a 5610z was locking up.

Did a memory test. It checked out good but when I tried to reboot would get past log on screen and then reboot - no BSOD. COOLING FAN WAS NOT RUNNING.

I pulled the ac power main, fan came back on.

(there were also other problems so I returned unit)
