Does anybody has service manual for Acer Aspire 5610Z? I suppose that ftp://www.synapsenow.com/ has it, but I have no account there and annonymous is not allowed :(

    Maybe somebody has it?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, I tried this site before posted this thread. There is no such service manual :(

I have downloaded from that site only Aspire 3000-3500-5000 Service Manual. I think it's a little similar to what I'm looking for. But I prefer to have Acer Aspire 5610Z Service manual... If anybody has it or knows where I can find it - please, answer.

    Thanks again.

took a bit of looking but i found it. if anyone else is looking for a model # service manual, request it and I'll get it for you. I don't want to post the link I use, so it doesn't get shut down.

i can look later today. what year was yours built?

i don't know that they'll have a specific "z" manual. Doesn't the 5610 in the SM cover yours?

i did find a bios crisis disk for your z model. that could come in handy.

have to go out for the afternoon, but i'll look for a z specific manual later

Thanks. I think just 5610 will be ok. But If you find especially for Z - it would be very nice. I don't know the year, it's my brother's notebook, he's away now.

I've downloaded two files for bios: bios 2.10.zip and HBL50_350_Winflash.zip from the ftp. And all the drivers needed(around 400mb). Do you have something different?

Don't worry, just make your business, than mine :) Thanks again, I'm waiting for the results!

that's the best I can do on the manual

the bios crisis disc is if you crashed your bios on flashing. you could use a floppy to get the bios recovered.

I did find there is actually a file on all acer laptops (I think) called wincris.exe....

do a file find for it - create a bootable floppy in my computer and then decompress the contents of the wincris.exe to the floppy.

that's assuming you have a usb external floppy.

do a search for wincris.exe in the SM in the above link.

that's the best I can do. you should be in good shape between the 2 manuals.
