    Hi,

I recently (15 mins ago) installed a new Lcd screen in my laptop. I did every step right I belive. I power on my computer and the new screen is just grey. I left it on hoping it would magicly start working but nothing. I checked the cables that connect the laptop to the computer. They are all in secure so now I don't know what the problem is. I really don't want to have to order another part. Could someone help?

Either your inverter faulty or the new screen is at fault(DOA), have you tried switching back to old screen to see whether it works.

The old screen I had is cracked up and I can't see anything. But I know an external screen works not sure if that has something to do with that. Any idea how much inverters cost?

You can get an inverter for around £15, it varies but you can check it in ebay.

I figured it out! Thanks for the help one of the wires wasn't in correctly. I connected the old screen and noticed the wire connected differently. So I gave the other screen a try and got the same result and it worked. Thanks for your help again!
