    Hello!

My windows xp media center fails!
After that I install on 2nd partition win xp professional only for copy my documents to one external drive.

I lose ALT+F10 function - I reactivated using PartEdit see Here
    http://www.roundtripsolutions.com/blog/2007/10/18/300/acer-disk-to-disk-d2d-recovery-broken/

But After Run System Recovery, I see files copied, Windows Start 1st time for configure settings, Windows Start Up ,and everything is functional, after I reeboot the machine windows don´t start again??GRRRRRR

I trie again and again with recovery DVD´s, but when finished, I have message System Recovery complete, I restart and widows doesn´t work.

I read on Post Here http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=115881

Now I Think I Fuc** All! I delete All Partitions!
I Put My recover DVD, Press Alt+F10 But I can´t See the dialog about Partitions.

Only one more note, If I install Win XP Pro, System work, problem is get all drivers and Functions.

    I need all your help.
    Thank in advance.
    Sorry for my english.

Drivers won't be a problem. I know nothing about the Acer Recovery stuff....
Best I advise, get a similar version XP disc, install it using the serial key printed on the COA sticker on the rear side of your notebook, and copy the stuff from the recovery cd.

    Hello!
I try to use "Post Acer Disk Formatter CD ISO Image"
I FOUND on this article http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=214537

I burn Image, Start notebokk with this, and system asked for eRecovery DvD.
    Next... Next..
System restart, and when Image Ram is loader, eRecovery "says" Partition Does not match" System restart with eRecovery Dvd, Files are copies and at the end, after system restart I have this Messafe "BOOT MGR is . missing" Not " BootMBR"

Acer comes with "windows media center 2005 Portuguese"

    Is possible repair BOOTMGR?

i think that is a file and you should be able to replace it if you can get access to the hard drive... but first you need to find someone who has the same laptop and is willing to make a copy of the file and send it to you. most people are kinda scared to go poking around in "HIDDEN" partitions.

this link has some info you may be able to use.... look at the 4th picture in post #2.... it shows the BOOTMGR file.... it is very small and would be no trouble to email or upload to a site like mediafire.com

    hope that helps ya
