    Hello,

I have a Acer Aspire 5672 With a Core Duo T2300 CPU, and I'm interested in upgrading it. I've read a lot of posts in this forum and i'm having some questions. People say that this computer can be upgraded to a T7600 CPU, this cpu has a 64 bit operation (in intel support page says).

My question is, if i put a T7600 into my acer will I be able to use full 4GB of ram and Windows 7 x64 system?

Or the system isn't posible to run x64 architecture?

Also read that can put a T2500, T2600 CPU, which do you recomend me?

Will te laptop temperature increase so much if i put a t7600?

    Thanks to everybody.

    This forum it's very helpful!!

I assuming you've checked the CPU compatibility with this notebook so I’m not gonna relate to that.

The other questions: you will be able to use 4GB on x64 system, T7600 is faster than the other two so I'd take this one, temps won't increase in a noticeable way since the TDP of you current CPU is 31W while T7600 is 35W.

Hello, thanks for replying, i will be able to install a x64 system into this laptop? I ask you because i read in other forums that this laptop isn't compatible with x64, if you put a x64 compatible cpu you can't.
    Can you confirm me please?
    thanks

I can't see a reason why it wouldn't be compatible.
Maybe it's not supported by x64 systems- that I would understand- Acer doesn't provide x64 drivers for this model.
So Windows should work unless there's a piece of hardware that doesn't have a 64bit driver at all.
Check the graphics card- if there are any x64 drivers for it available or not.
