    Hi all again,
I have an aspire 5672 WLMI and just recently while I was working I closed to lid to go eat, but when I came back and I opened the lid, I pressed the key it came
back from standby and the mouse didnt work, so I plugged in a normal mouse, to use it but I really want the touchpad. Thanks

I have Windows Vista Home Premium (and i'm going back to xp soon)

Also days before this, the computer reported that it was un-genuine (which is another reason to go back to xp) and a day after i put the computer to standby and when I re-opened it the computer crashed and my account was gone, so I had to recreate one. Could it be that microsoft is doing this so that I go and buy Vista again to be genuine?

Are you saying that a USB mouse would not respond after it came back from standby, or the touchpad would not respond after standby and you had to plug in a USB mouse?
