    Hi am new to this site , and was pleased to fine a section on the acer laptops ...

    my querie is this ... i have just gone from a desktop pc to the 5710 model , running vista ...

    however i have a large DVD collection , some of which are just not available over here in the uk , so they are region 1 discs , i had previously unlocked my desktop pc to be able to play them .... , i'm having probs finding out how to unlock the acer , to make it region free .... :(
    can anyone help ??? :confused: .... many thanx .... kev

    You can change your dvd drive region 3 or 4 times, but that's all. Maybe get two dvd drives, set one to region 1 and set the other to the second region you need.
