I have read of many different problems with this laptop. Some people have had just one of them, some a few of them. I've read you can't install XP, there's the sound problem, a wireless problem and my own a tv tuner doesn't find any stations and is useless at the moment. That's not as pertinent as the wireless though, please help you pro's out there! Facts:

I'm running the preinstalled windows vista home premium
I use a D-link wireless switch with latest firmware loaded.
The wireless did work until I removed the annoying preloaded acer sware and even for a while after that with standard windows network tools
It died magically on my next boot up, but, the bootup after that it started connecting again. In the meanwhile I hadn't changed any settings.
The network goes fine when I am plugged in via cable to the switch.
All I see now is a "network controller" with a yellow not working quetsion mark in device manager.
The seperate broadlink device is fine
I have downloaded the latest drivers, I run the install application and it does nothing, I try update driver and point to the directory but again it doesn't recognise any drivers available. is it possible the the hardware is damaged?
I have had this computer 1 week and it has not had ANY rough bumps or drops.

    Please help!

P.S The other computer on this network is an XP desktop, this laptop, nor my two brothers vista laptops were ever able to open folders on the xp machine. They could see the computer, go into it but no folders, always timed out. Wonder if it's the switch :/

Disable wireless card, reset your access point, reenable wireless card and try to repair the connection if problem still present.
I have a dlink wifi router and sometimes I get the same problem, but resetting both does do the trick!
