Hi, this is my first post, thanks for a very informative forum.

i have an Aspire 5735z (5735-343G25Mn) laptop. It currently has an Intel T3400 dual core chip, running at 667 Mhz FSB. The integrated graphics (Intel 4500 mhd) seems to be running at 475 Mhz ( as told by GPUz).

I have researched the chipset, and it is a Mobile Intel GM45 Express Chipset, with a 82801IMB control ICH9M-B. It is supposed to be able to run the FSB at 667, 800 and 1066 Mhz.

I want to upgrade the CPU to run at at least 800 FSB, but do not know if it is possible, or the FSB can be altered. Sorry if i seem a bit stupid.

Intel tell me to go to Acer for support, Acer tell me i cant upgrade my CPU.
I really hope someone can help.

Will i have to change my memory from ddr2 sodimm 667mhz, if i change the FSB of the CPU.

There doesnt seem to be any settings in the bios to change the FSB either.

Once again, thanks for a great forum, i look forward to some help. :D
