Hello, I'm sorry if this was already discussed, but I'm having this terrible issue with my Acer... It's come out of nowhere (though I'm somehow blaming Windows Updates?) on my Win7 Home Premium. Is this a manufacturer or Microsoft issue?
Thanks in advance,
Sonia

You need to be a little more specific about the issue that you're having, because there are lots of startup issues and I don't know which one you're having.

Well, everything is going well, until (usually in the morning), explorer.exe doesn't want to start-up with the boot. Startup repair goes on and on and on and on and can't solve anything. The only way I can get in Windows is by recovering it to factory settings. I've tried scanning for viruses or other intruders (neither Avast nor Malwarebytes couldn't find anything in deep scans). I thought a reinstall would solve the problem, but I've been doing this for almost two weeks now and I can't seem to keep my Win install too long until I have to reinstall... Everything else seems to be normal and the problem came out of the blue, I didn't do any change, it just happened one morning...

I have seen this a few times now, the majority caused by pesky malware.
Try fixing it by doing a system restore.
1. Log on as Administrator (or a user with local administrator rights)
2 .Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
3. Select Restore my computer to an earlier time and click Next
4.Select the date when everything was running perfectly and click Next
5 .Click OK
6.Click Next
Also, try running msconfig from task manager and check. (do this before you do system restore).
Viruses and malware are the cause of the problem there's no doubt that your PC is infected. -
Dear somebody!
The ACER ASPIRE does not start at all! It blinks a little, it tries some figure, and then, it just goes blank. So I cannot get in at all :-( What can I do?
