I updated my BIOS on my Acer Aspire 5740g, it installed perfectly, then when it finished, it shutted down, and started up but i only got a black screen

the version i updated it to is v1.16

I tried fixing this with wincris but that didnt work, probably because i didnt get the right explanation, does anyone have a solution for this problem? (if so id like a step by step explaination)

id be very thankful if someone could help me fix this, i really need my laptop for school.

    Thanks in advance,
    Rock

    Hi Rock

Instructions are here and recovery disk is here.

Recovery disk contains BIOS 1.22 and- if I'm not mistaken- has been prepared by kizwan.

Look here at Instructions. You must have patience if using USB flash drive. I hope you can understand the english.

Faysoft: I have same problem with my Aspire 5740 (not 5740g).
Once I did it but I forget what I did fn or winkey with esc or b or anything Orrr only power button. I have remembered that The power button light didn't light orange or different from blue. Now I try to wich combination is correct. but I am tried. So, How did you solve your problem. Did you use Cd-rom (I coldn't use it as a crisis disk) I am afraid that I should change my mainboard :((
Please write if you solved the problem.
