Try re-installing the pointing device driver.

Is it your physical mouse or the touchpad? Many touchpad drivers have a setting to temporarily disable your touchpad as you type so the mouse isn't accidentally moved or clicked.

Go into Control Panel -> Mouse and search around in the settings for feature like that. On my 3820TG, it's under the "Advanced" tab in mouse properties. Good luck!

I tried this and nothing happened, thank you for trying to help though!

Mine isn't like this I guess because it doesn't have the option, thanks.

What touchpad is it- Synaptics or ALPS?
    Check in device manager.

BTW I've changed the title of the thread.

If it's Synaptics it's what Dr. K6 described.
Additional options like the one you need to change (it's called Palm Check) are available in a special panel that comes with drivers.
Try installing the most recent ones from here but uninstall old ones and reboot before you do.

^ Exactly, what Downloads just said.

In the Synaptics software, lower the sensitivity for "PalmCheck".
