My laptops touch pad freezes often. After freezing, the pointer looks like a lens with + and - sign when I try moving the pointer. There is no way to get out of this other than logging off and logging in again.
I have reset the computer to the factory setting a couple of times to see if it gets fixed, but to no avail. :(
Any idea will be appreciated! Thanks!!

Update touchpad driver- it's either Synaptics or ALPS. Find the most recent drivers and test them- just don't look at Acer's website. Acer doesn't update drivers so all you'll find is what you already have.

Thank you... but i am having trouble figuring out which driver - Synaptics or ALPS is mine.
Any suggestions, where to look at?

Check in device manager if you have Synaptics driver or in Control Panel/ Mouse if it has Synaptics tab added.
