    Hello everyone.

I have a weird thing going on with my laptop Acer Aspire 5742ZG (p614g32mnkk), which is after turning it off, a very small and low-volume beeping occurs. The beeping is constant and it's at a very low volume.

After unplugging it from the wall (with or without battery), the low-volume beeping stops... I have to my head next to the laptop to be able to listen to it cearly...

Anyone know why? I'm really confused

Is it beeping or constant coil whine?

Oh wow... I got really curious at that terminology you used of "constant coil whine" and it's quite similar!

This is the sound example I listened to:

Although... it's really very low that when I asked my dad to put his head next to the laptop, he couldn't hear a thing, making me believe I was being paranoid or something lol.

Anyway, the sound is 100% constant and the very same within. It never changes. But it's so low I really have to focus and listen to it with my head close to the laptop.

But the truth is, when the PC shuts down, that sound starts, and it only stops if I remove the power cable of it...

Nevermind... I listened to 2 more examples of coil whine from laptops and it's nothing like it.

This beeping I mentioned before it's a digital audio sound that occurs, it's constant, and always the same beeping.

It's nothing metallic or scratchy... Just an extremely low digital audio beeping.

But what I don't understand is that it happens when my laptop is turned off!....
