Hi, I've had this laptop for less than a year. However, I've been getting BSOD and it would say "No bootable device insert boot disc and press any key error". It used to last couple of hours prior to BSOD... But now it only lasts about 20 minutes... I've reformatted and factory resetted a couple of times, it's not getting any better. Help?

    Could be a few things:

    1. Hard drive going bad. (most likely)
    2. Overheating.
    3. Bad memory.

Sounds like your hard drive is going bad, overheating or both.

First get a program like CPUID Hardware Monitor to watch your temps.

If you have more than one memory stick, then try using just one at a time to see if that helps. Or Windows has a memory test program.

Most newer drives have S.M.A.R.T. technology. You can download programs that will give you info on the drive and see if anything bad is showing up.

If it appears to be the hard drive then buy the biggest one you can afford and swap it out with your current one. If it is the hard drive going bad, you can get an external case and try to get important files off it before it totally fails.
