I haven't been able to use the mouse for 1-2 days, however an external mouse does work but I need to use the touchpad mouse too. I haven't made any changes through control panel or any other places.
The installed driver has version 8.0.6.3 but at Acer I find the version of 8.0.6.0.

Does someone know how I can make it work again?
    thanks

Are you sure that the touchpad is not disabled by Fn+F7 combo?

yes it was that short cut that had disabled it, it sits next to the speaker button and I had accidently disabled it. Thanks a lot.
