What power plan do you have the system on when on battery?

Do not game when using the battery.
You will stress the battery a lot ,and it will stop functioning in the long run

    Just my 2c.

You know that this can be an overheating issue right? When you play games on your batter it will stress your battery to the max which will raise its temprature, again affect the system temprature.. You can kill your whole laptop :D However, I would also not recommending you to game on your battery. It can also be a overheating issue because, fans NEVER spins at full speed while on battery, atleast not on my Acer or HP. I can always clearly hear the fans rpm cracking up when I plug it in. I can game on battery tou, have tried that once.

Yep. Always plug your laptop to A/C if you can.

It's likely the dedicated card is in low power 3d clocks anyway.

You can help get round this by raising the right profile in nvidia inspector.
