This stuff dowsn't work -- u need "windows remote" compatible device to use with this CIR module, it's not IRDA compatible.

Search forum, there should be at least 2 threads about this with more in-depth answers.

I'm using it Girder 3.30 with MCE Remote plugin and Microsoft Mce remote control. It works fine. Without girder all media center functions and Windows media player working.
I use girder to control KMPlayer.
If you would like I can upload MCE Remote plugin.

Haven't checked this thread for a while, but -- if you are so kind and share "MCE Remote plugin" ?

    Thanks in advance,
