    Acer Aspire 5920G - White Screen with a number of vertical lines rite after turn the Laptop

    Dear friends,

    I m having this problem since last nite. I get this white screen all of sudden while watching a movie. I force restarted the laptop by pressing and holding the power button. After that when ever i turn on the laptop what i get is a blank white screen with a number of vertical lines. What could be the problem? a google search returns a number of possible reasons like the graphics card, and lcd cable. Mine out of warranty.. should i just send it back to acer service centre?

    The white screen looks exactly same as shown on the following youtube clip.

    I guess it's faulty GPU.

    Try it with an external monitor. If that works fine, then I'd say it is LCD cable. If it doesn't, then it is probably the GPU.
