A year ago, where I live the 5920G was in a great discount, 7 was about to come out so I got a small loan to buy one, yes it was still too expensive for me.

Asap it was in my hands I formated it (clean install) into my 7 RTM. I soon experienced random freezes, w/ o drivers it was like every 20 seconds. after the tormenting install of all drivers freezes were rendered to every 8-9 min or more. Every freeze was about 1-2 min...

I started to read and I have tried, in one year (apparently where i bought it warranty was not applied due to my interfering in the basic OS >.>) :
1.Updated BIOS into the latest version.
    2. Updated HardDrive drivers like a gazillion times, and i have tried all recommandations
    3. Formated into Vista HomeBAsic 32, HomePremium32 (least problematic), Vista Ultimate32, Vista Ultimate64, 7 HomePremium32 & 64, 7 Ultimate32 & 64 => all same problem
    4. Removed RAM at a time, tried all combinations.
    5. After I spoke w/ some1 who repairs apple devices, he said to me
    a) Your RAM slots are faulty (already tried that)
    b) Your RAM "crashes" w/ your NetCard (idk if that is called like that in english too)

So I was supposed to remove this "card", but i went for it since i had read somewhere that maybe my "gear had magnetic charge" whatever.

I torn this thing apart, I mean piece by piece, left for quiet some time that way and than, after i convinced myself that I cant remove smth build into the MoB. I reassembled this two times due to screw leftovers the firs time. I have triple checked everything and only my Microphone and Fn key isnt working.

    6. I used Gparted on the Hidden PQSERVICE partition, I copied it on C, rebooted my pc, I started reset procedure and then i got the Failure message 0ax0000001 I think. >.>
    7. Formated (just done now) to Vista HomePremium 32, I didnt install the Modem and LAN drivers, in three hours had only 3 freezes.

So the big question is, Can I get ever get rid of the Freeze and any idea on making Mic. and Fn operational again?

    Thanks in advance, Stiv :)

    Hi,

freezes are often due to faulty hardware.
Have you already run Memtest overnight at least?

Next question: have you replaced your memory modules, or have you simply reinserted the modules?

I tried memtest this night up to Pass 4, it said 0 Errors, and the other column ... Errs was 0 too.
I noticed smth strange, I dont know well how a FSB works but it said 200MHz, my Fsb is supposed to be 800MHz or up to 800?
The Memory Modules were changed (take out and put in) just to see if the slots were faulty so it was always the same RAM(s).
Any idea on the Fn key or Mic?
    Stiv

That sounds rather good. If I remember correctly, Windows (at least 7, no idea about Vista) has a built-in RAM checker, too. I am not able to give usage details, so you may simply check Windows Help for information.
    That's okay.
The real FSB is indeed 200 MHz. But it is multiplied somehow - Intel's marketeers called that featuer "quadpumped".

Something is either broken or not properly connected.
