    I have Aspire 5920G notebook with T7500 intel processor that I want to flash with modded BIOS from this thread:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/acer/480992-acer-laptop-phoenix-bios-bios-mod-request-60.html#post6655207

    I need VT enabled. But When I tried to flash the BIOS using phlash16, it gives the error 4096 popup, and there is no other way to reboot the PC except disconnecting the power source. Fortunately, the original BIOS is still intact. I have tried all the modded BIOS for 5920G posted by kizwan from that thread, all gives the same result.

    My BIOS is currently using ver 3804. Strangely, when I try updating the BIOS with 3813 from the official website, it also gives me the same error.

    Also, when I tried to backup using /BU option, phlash16 unexpectedly restarted the notebook when it reached the backup phase, defaulting my boot order.

    Try with Winflash, or different version of phlash16.

    I finally successfully flashed my BIOS using the modded 3813 BIOS. The problem was the phlash16 version. I used all 1.6 versions and all failed. So I look for phlash16 ver 1.7 which I then I found on dell alienware driver downloads. So phlash16 ver 1.7.0.21 dated 20th November 2009 worked on my aspire. Now I can use Virtualization Technology. :D :D :D

    Command used:
    phlash16 /s /x /C MODDED.WPH

    Note: phlash16 /BU still doesn't work. My laptop restarts itself if I used this option.

    :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
