I have recently become aware that my 5920G has an upgradeable graphics card. Mine is currently an Nvidia GeForce 8600M GS 256MB. What cards can I upgrade to?

Hi Matt23, and welcome to the forums!
Please check the stickied topics for answers to the most common questions, including this one.
The safest upgrades are to cards that your machine is normally sold with, but people have had a lot of success with changing the 5920G over to a Radeon HD 4650.

Thanks but I much prefer Nvidia and I think I may go for the 9500M GS, unless there is a better one out since that list was made.

The 9500M GS is thus your best bet - some 5920G models were even sold with it from the factory.

I have an 5920g but mine came with a ati hd 3470 card. Would I be able to upgrade to 9500M GS or should I stick too ati cards?

Yeah, you should be able to upgrade to a 9500M GS. Just remember to uninstall the ATi driver before pulling the swap.
