Hello, my problem is that it has broken vga acer aspire 5920 and wanted to buy another vga, I'm thinking of buying this: nVIDIA GF 9300M GS 256MB MXM II, but I do not know if it's compatible with the laptop.

Can someone help me and tell me if this is compatible vga or give me a list.

I do not want to buy the vga 8600M that is very expensive, on ebay I found the vga 9300M GS for 86$.

A greeting and I hope your help.

    Hi XoL,

    Welcome to the forums.

Yes the 9300m gs is compatible with your laptop. BUT you might want to take a look at the ati mobility 3650. Has about the same performance as the 8600m gt but is a lot cheaper. On ebay available from 80/90 USD.

    Greetings

    Welcome to the forums, Xol!
We actually have a rather extensive thread on upgrading the graphics card (known as an MXM card) in Acer laptops; check it out here!

We don't know for sure because no one has tried it yet. That's the thing with MXM upgrades - because they aren't supported by Acer, there's no hard list of what does and does not work.
Also, keep in mind that the 9300M GS won't be much of an upgrade over your current GPU. The reason the 8600M GT is so expensive is because it's actually a half-decent and very compatible GPU for the MXM-II market.

There are 5920Gs with 9 500M, but I don't know about 9300M. In my opinion it should run, but there is always a risk. When you put "laptop" and "upgrading" in one sentence in quite a handful of cases you should expect some surprises, either good or bad :)
