    Hi to all of you...

Today, as i was getting ready to check the log file of the AVG scanning that ran all night, i noticed something. The file data1.cab:reader_sl.exe inside the
c:\windows\system32\oem folder is infected with the Trojan Dropper.Generic2.Aliz

    1. First of all: what is the purpose of the OEM folder inside the system32? Is this something that the manufacturer put inside in order for me to be able to complete a factory restore setting?
    2. If i delete the file data1.cab, will i have any other complications during a possible factory restore?
    3. If i uninstall and reinstall Adobe Reader, will it delete the infected file data1.cab?

    Thanks in advance??

    Hi,

I guess, it's a false positive reported by your AV software.

Apart from that, I personally ditched Adobe Reader and use PDF X-Change Viewer instead :)
