Hi, I have an Acer Aspire 6920 and I'm trying to to do the erecovery, everytime I try to create the disks I get a message saying

    "Error Code: 1014
Burning Error, Please insert a blank CD/DVD into the optical drive and press OK to continue"

I have tried many different blank discs but I always get the same error. I have also red the thread on this forum where someone had a similar problem and I tried running my computer in safe mode but the programme will not run..
    Can anyone help, much appreciated!

    Hahaha! I experienced this ^^!
However, with luck, I sucessfully burn out the 2 discs after sacrifice a few blanks discs.
I will say prepare a few discs. If it said it fails and told you to put a new disc, put another disc and continue. It would probably success after the 1st fail. Continue using this method and you will get it done I think.
After burning out the OEM Recovery Discs, you can try to use them. Make sure they can be use.

I have no love for OEM Recovery Discs, they are rubbish.
But I did burn them out for the sake of originality and I didn't clean-up the 2 hidden partition of AS6920G. I mean I can revert my laptop to 100% original.
Now, I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and without Acer bloatware and Acer-Branded Software. They are useless, wasting RAM, slower start-up, lower performance, wasting hardisk space, wasting processor speed and "Windows Vista/7 already have the function why Acer repeat them again"(for example: ePower Management by Acer vs Power Option of Control Panel).

Probably, you need to burn it using that way for sure.
Maybe you should try more discs, it said fail, then, put a new disc directly and press Continue. Do this for a few disc(5discs). If still can't, see below.
    Last resort is,
Try use the eRecovery to restore your laptop to original state(factory default) and then only burn the discs out.
You can call Acer for the Recovery Discs as well but they will charge you.
