I am very new to Laptops, Drivers ect.

I am wanting to upgrade to Windows 7 and I was woundering what things do I need to download AFTER I get it installed?

I know empowering technology will not be there anymore, How can i get it back?

And for My finger reader? How can I get those back?

I really don't want to have the games that come with It tho.

    Please help me.

Thompse3, most Vista drivers will work just fine on 7. Burn the Drivers & Applications disc using Acer eRecovery ( and your recovery DVDs while you're at it) and use them when 7's done installing.

If I remember correctly, the Realtek sound driver, the Dritek Launch Manager, Synaptics touchpad driver, JMicron Flash driver (for the SD card reader) and the latest Nvidia driver (from www.nvidia.com) were all I needed.
The fingerprint software and Empowering Tech should also be on the disc.
I tossed Acer Arcade Deluxe on later to handle Blu-ray playback.

I would like to upgrade, so do you think if i do "Backup drivers and applications to CD" will do the trick once installation is done? I just put in CD and Drivers are back up?
