So my audio drivers were glitching. I downloaded the latest drivers from the Acer wesite, and lo and behold, I no longer had any control over the equaliser. Acer HD Audio manager disappeared.

So then I installed the drivers from Realtek instead. Everything comes back, except my internal subwoofer has completely disappeared. I have this ridiculous tinny sound. Turning the subwoofer up in Sound options does nothing. It has completely disapeared. All bass/low mid sounds have been cut out completely.

What's going on? I need a version of the drivers that will recognise the subwoofer but also give me EQ control. The subwoofer hasn't worked on either version I've tried and I don't have my old drivers around anywhere.

I know only the official Acer drivers are meant to support Tuba, but the current ones seem to make it disappear just like the ordinary ones.

Do you have eaudio management? You must use the dolby 5.1 setting for the tuba to work

Mat, that's not true. I uninstalled eAudio, using the 2.0 speakers, and my Tuba works just fine.
Realtek-generic drivers will not allow for the Tuba to work. Go back to the original Acer drivers if you can.
Or, take your chances and call Acer Support.
