I've got the acer aspire 6920G, and when i play world of warcraft my fps drops to 7 in 25man raids. I play with really low options.
I've always had low fps, i tried installing windows Xp, vista and now windows 7 and nothing helps.
Now i must say, win7 had the best result. My fps increased in major cities, but in raids it's still the same thing.
I defragged my HD, I use a 64bit to use my full ram, I run no background programs, all options are on low, and i still get 7fps.
Can someone PLEASE help me. I'm actually considering buying a desktop if this problem doesn't get fixed.

What CPU/GPU do you have? Is your CPU or GPU underclocking? Are you monitoring your temperatures?
-
Nope, temperatures are fine, and nor my gpu nor cpu are downclocking.
-
your CPU is downclocking(90% confirmed).
This is very common problem for AS6920G.
Why can I confirm this? Because I am AS6920G user and I have seen a lot of AS6920G with similar problem(90%).
Reasons of why downclocking happen:
Thermal Monitor 1 value(to downclock CPU while overheat) is set too low. So, the CPU downclock when the temperature is just normal/healthy(about 60C it would downclock).
We can't change the Thermal Monitor 1 value, because Acer BIOS has lock it. Cheer~
I'll provide some link for you to prove this is highly believable.
1st link(gemstoneblue 6920G/8920G downclocking issues list), http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=392507
2nd link(permanent fixing of downclocking issues and not every user can use this perfectly), http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=393073
3rd link(semi-fix method for downlocking issues), http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=374850
Lastly, I hope Acer do not set TM1(thermal monitor1) value or please set the TM1 value higher so it won't downclock like brainless. My friend HP laptop do not set TM1. His HP laptop set TM2 value which would shutdown itself while overheat and the TM2 value is set reasonably(about 80C). -
Does the program work on Win7? I get an error "Cannot load RTcore64 driver"
-
Alright, found how to patch RM clock.
But tbh, i don't understand much of your tutorial. :-( I'm a newbie.
So i went to maximal performance profile, there i clicked "use P-state transitions" on both battery as AC. Then what? I'm stuck. -
You'll need to find the signed RTCore64 driver - only signed drivers can be installed in 64-bit Windows. A Google Search works for that.
Sisionis, I understand your frustration, but this has been posted again and again and again and again and again and again!
PLEASE search the forums before posting a new thread! -
Hell yeah. Many people doesn't believe it is it is CPU downclock due to fake overheat in the very first place because it is a rare symptoms included myself. However, my friend show me RMclock and he asked me to try it. He doesn't teach me much of it. I explored it myself and found some solutions.
sisionis, now you just slowly read and explore it. Do not rush. I believe you can do it. -
Atm i'm doing the "ticking & unticking" of enable normal throttling. This helps alot! I can now actually play WoW & GTA IV on highest settings with a decent FPS!
However, I'd like to apply wha tyou described on http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=393073 , but i don't really understand how to do this part:
"For T8100 users, FID = 11.0x(it is actually 10.5x but RMclock does not have "0.5x" word, I explain like this might be easy for newbie) and VID = 0.925V"
I can't change anything...
How can i change things inthere? -
Then, watch here.Attached Files:

I'm not able to choose 0,9250V. The lowest i can choose is 1,0375V
(btw, for the things i have to change in my register: I can't find any of those... I was only able to find IntelPMP4.EIST (which was on value 1 already!)) -
I will give you another screenshoot here. Follow it and you would able to change the VID to 0.925V.Attached Files:

Alright, worked! Thanks.
Now i've only got one more problem, and that's the register. None of the things you've put in your guide is in my register :-/ -
Actually, you just open your Rmclock folder.
and double click on RMclock_tweaks. Apply it! AFter you apply the registry, you would have all the registry string that I shown in my FIX topic.
I will provide screen shoot for u again. Kindly reply on my FIX topic. It make thing much easier that I don't need to look around.Attached Files:
