    Hey All,

I'm having a really hard time here and hoping I can get some help. I have done a ton of searching and trying before asking here. I will try and keep it simple.

Attempted to Update Bios (Windows) and got down to Block 2 and locked up, corrupted.
Computer starts, displays bios screen, I am able to F12 for boot menu or F2 and get into setup. However any boot option just goes black for a while until it reboots.

    Bios Recovery:
I have attempted to download the Crisis tool here: (4) CRISIS DISK - Phlash16_v1.7.0.18_DiffSize.rar
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/acer/480992-acer-laptop-phoenix-bios-bios-mod-request.html

Once downloaded, I am replacing the BIOS.WPH file with the only bios file I can find for this unit, which is modded by Kizwan:
    Unlock BIOS ACER Aspire 6930G

I insert a 128mb flash drive, run WinCris.exe as admin and create the boot disk.
I then insert the flash drive into the unit with it unplugged and no battery. Hold FN + Esc, plug in and press power button. The machine enters recovery mode and the power button constantly flashes. The flash drive blinks for a few seconds as if it's reading, but then stops blinking and the machine just sits in recovery mode until unplugged.

I believe the problem is possibly due to trying to recover with a modded bios, I cannot seem to find an original bios.wph for this unit anywhere...
Also, should I buy a USB floppy drive instead of attempting with the flash drive?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Only other option I have is to replace the motherboard.
