    Hello all

I have a Acer Aspire 6930G with the following screen: LTN160AT01, which is the 1366x768 resolution screen.

I have managed to break this screen :(

Anyway, i wanted to upgrade to full HD, i've noticed this laptop comes in two different resolutions, 1366x768 and Full HD 1920x1080

So i purchased a LTN160HT01 which is the 1920x1080 screen and fitted it to my laptop, with these results:

I've heard that the screen may be incompatible? or is the screen just faulty? the screen also changes colour etc and bits move about on the screen, so i'm wondering if it's the cable that isn't right for the screen?

Any help would be very apprecaited.

    Regards

    EDIT:

Mods please change title to 6930G typo mistake with the 9.

According to a service manual SAMSUNG 16" WUXGA Glare LTN160HT01-A02 is supported however you need a dual LVDS for full HD LCD and only single LDVS for so called HD Ready (your old LCD)
That may be the root of the problem.

Acer specific I presume. The same cable is used with both 720p and 1080p LCDs in 6930G according to a service manual.
    Acer part no is 50.ASR07.002
There’s another one but it's meant for non-bezel screens so it should have nothing to do with your situation.

    Hi :)

I want to know if you successfully replaced your LCD screen ?

    I've just replace my LTN160AT01 with a LTN160HT01.

I have 2 cable with this number near the barcode :

    GLEDD0ZK2LC200081101 and GLEDD0ZK200090223

    The 2 are Rev 3A

it seems it's the reference 50.ASR07.002 from Acer Service Manual

This is the result with a handbuilded cable :

My picture is not very good, but i have like a Yellow shadow on the screen, and it seems vertical line are missing.

If someone could help to solve this Probs, il will be COOOOOOOL !

    BUMP.
@DoZe I'm having the same error. Did you anyone figure out how to solve the problem or know why that's happening? It would be nice if I could upgrade the screen to full HD.

Guys, I just did the same thing to my Aspire 6530G. Just opened a thread about it :) My cable is arriving tomorrow: you need part nr. 50.APQ0N.012.

Thanks so much for the cable part number. I just found out the same thing you did. I had to track down the LCD specs for the WXGA and WUXGA and found out the WUXGA requires those 8 extra pins for the even RGB lines. I don't know why the ACER service manual for the 6930 specifies only one LCD cable when it's only pinned out for single link.

@Imelon Based on the service manual of your Acer laptop, it looks like it shipped with a similar cable to mine (50.ASR07.002). Does the 50.APQ0N.012 have all the necessary interfaces for the webcam, speaker, and inverter? Where did you order yours from?

    Hi all

I can confirm 50.APQ0N.012 (6017B0157201) don't have all the necessary connectors to "plug & play" in 6930G Screen housing.

The 50.APQ0N.012 is really dual LVDS, but need some mod to fit in 6930g,
    especially for webcam and inverter.

The webcam on 6930G have 2 connectors, the 50.APQ0N.012 only have ONE.

the inverter connector is not the same (only 4 wire on the original cable, 6 wire on the 50.APQ0N.012)

    Re.

the original fitted in the 6930G seems to be :

    50.AUQ07.001 NOT 50.ASR07.002

Apparently, the good one for WUXGA (1920x1080) is the 50.ASR07.002.

Hey, sorry to bother you. I was wondering if you knew if the guy in this post got this working ever? I broke my screen and also wanted to upgrade. I haven't bought anything yet though. I really need help here hope to here from you soon thank you in advance. Btw i took my old screen out already and it is LTN160AT01-A02. I have read your part number for the cord and I was confident but then this other guy that posted on here confused me and now I'm scared. Awaiting your reply thank you.
