Hello,
I have Aspire 6935G which I bought in singapore. Whenever I connect something on expresscard particularly my vidock 4+(external graphics xfx amd dd 6950) my laptop cannot turn on. The power button is on and I can hear the fan but the screen is not, not even blank, there is harddisk activity for 1 second as soon as I press the power button, then everything stops. I disconnected it and my laptop turns on normally. I connected it while on windows and windows detects my vidock. But whenever I install the drivers and requires restart since the laptop will be off on restart, it cannot turn on while expresscard is connected. I researched and it says it is maybe because of the "power" option in the bios and must disable "pci express power management" but this cannot be accessed on acer bios. I upgraded to bios from 1.1 to 1.2 version but still the problem remains. The bios don't have any "power" options. Does anyone have suggestions or modified bios so I can try it. Please help. Many thanks.
