Recently purchased this laptop thinking that I could do a little light gaming while away from home and have discovered that i shoulnd't bother trying to run anything that was released in the last 3 or 4 years. Is the problem with the hardware or with my expectations? Games like Crysis, Call of Duty, Hitman BM are all virtually unplayable even at the lowest settings. I am running the machine in Vista and thought I would give XP a try but I am beginning to despair that even that won't help. Does anyone have some useful advice for me?

The laptop has a NVIDIA Geforce 8400M G which is a very low end dedicated card. It may not run Crysis, but should run CoD. Install the latest driver from laptopvideo2go.com (read the instructions), and get rid of the bloatware on the machine.
