I got a problem while I am in Windows.

My keyboard randomly stops working at times. I am just working on my laptop, I hear a beep and suddenly my keyboard doesn't work anymore. BUT, I can plug in a USB keyboard and that does work.
For this problem to dissapear I need to restart my laptop, and then it works again. But after a certain period it just stops again.

I don't know what the problem could be, and working with this USB keyboard is very annoying when I lack space.

    Help is appreciated,
    greetings,
    Snorfiets

    Problem now changed now...

Laptop keyboard works on log in screen. After I log in to my account, I can't use my laptop keyboard anymore, but the USB keyboard works fine. What could be the issue?

    Any help appreciated.

have you tried holding down the FN key and then push down on the f6 or f7 key?
Supposedly on HP laptops this unlocks and locks the keyboard and mouse
Maybe you did something similar on your ACER

I'll try this later when the problem occurs again, apparently now it works again for a while after logging in. I'll report back when I've tried :p

hmm, fn+f6 or f7 didnt work, as expected. Because they're the keys to turn on and off the touchpad and screen after all.

I don't think I should go for a new one to be honest.. I don't think the problem is actually keyboard related.

Matter is still unsolved... Issue with keyboard remains, have searched several forums and other websites. And they mentioned using the adapter and no battery, but I have no battery in my laptop at the moment and it still does it.

    Anyone else knows a solution?

    Greetings,

    Hi
I have the same problem with my Aspire 7520. I must add that it start to happen in windows 7 installation and it don´t happen in safe mode.
So i think the problem can be in drivers.
I still looking for the fix of the problem.
