Ok so it all started about 6months ago when my left CTRL key stopped working, as did the left shift. This wernt too much of a problem as obviously there are 2 of these. But recently the whole top QWERTY row went out of action and various other keys have ceased to work, i would say more than half of the keys. So i logged onto ebay and bought a replacement keyboard, fitted it, booted up, and then to much of my annoyance i had the EXACT same problem, i.e. same keys not functioning, and now, even more recently, not one single key works at all. I have tried flashing the bios with no luck. Any suggestions will be much appreciated as this is very frustrating since i paid the good end of 500 quid for this laptop and i dont see why i should have to stick with a usb keyboard, also the warranty has just expired.

What OS do you have? Have you tried updating drivers? If you have I would reinstall the OS. If that doesn't work I would update to Vista or Windows 7 so you get new drivers.

Well try XP see if that makes a difference. Could be a driver issue still. If it's not then its a motherboard issue in which case dip it in the bath tub and send it back. I did it with my old HP to get a free one.
