I recently purchased a new Acer Aspire 7560-sb416 from walmart. Just 1 quick question. On the box and on the sticker it states that it comes with 4GB of RAM. The computer is only showing that it has 3.5GB of ram. I researched online a little and some places said this might be due to having the 32 bit operating system, to switch to the 64 bit operating system and it will show the 4GB of ram.

Mine is the 64 bit so im not sure why its not showing up. Will the computer still use the 4GB of ram? I dout I would even need that much since I only do lighte gaming and some video/photo editing and usually only have 1-3 programs open at a time. Thanks in advance!

Probably integrated graphics gets its cut so you're down to 3,5GB.
It will work with 8GB for sure and 16GB seems possible too (not sure though)

ohhhh ok, thank you! I read online that its good for 8GB max for the ram. i considered buying 2 sticks of 4GB ram to take it up to 8GB but would it even be something i would notice? If it is what would you guys suggest for sticks of ram for someone on a budget?
