Ok so I just recently purchased an acer aspire 7750g-6444 (has sandy bridge intel cpu) and for some reason I could have sworn it had extra RAM slots. I also checked the other 7750g laptop models and they have 4 ram slots but mine doesn't? When I went to open the back of the laptop there are only two RAM slots available instead of the supposed 4! I even checked CPU-Z and under the memory tab it showed 4 memory slots available.
So what gives? Did acer screw me over or is this some kind of manufacturing mess-up? Can any other 7750g-6444 owners chime in? (this laptop model is the one with the radeon hd 6650 gpu).

I don't know anything about that notebook, but sometimes extra ram slots are located under the keyboard.

I can see 4 here.
What's the problem? -
Where exactly are you seeing the 4 ram slots? I only see 2 when I open up the back panel of my laptop.
I can tell because when I open up the back, there are only two "securing" or locking pins when I look rather than 4. Maybe there's something I am missing here but I am looking at the back of the laptop and I am assuming that there should be 2 ram slots in 2 different locations whereas I only see 1 ram slot in 2 different locations. -
Ok I just got off the phone with acer and they said that SOME models of the aspire 7750g models have 4 memory slots and SOME do not. Apparently the 6444 is one of those models that DO NOT (even though on the back I clearly see the engraving/outline showing that it is supposed to...but just without the extra memory slot).

The photo I provided is from a review of 7750g made by notebookcheck and you can see 2 slots on top of each other in each of two locations.
How does your look like?
EDIT: I started posting before you replied. That's weird indeed. I wouldn't expect them to actually change something like that.
Acer Aspire 7750g-6444 has no ram slots?!
