I have a question. Is it possible to overclock the Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 in the 8735G.The motherboard is called Acer JV80.

It is only possible through FSB but this will increase the memory frequency too. Check the SetFSB topic on this forum for more details. I wanted to do this back then when I had the T6600 installed on my notebook but I didn't have the tools needed to desolder the resistor that locks the PLL.

Can you post a link of that topic please ?

This is what I was talking about: http://forum.notebookreview.com/hardware-components-aftermarket-upgrades/393027-pll-pinmod-overclocking-methods-examples.html
I didn't try it so I can't guarantee it's gonna work for this notebook. What I did was to check if it would be possible to use this method by setting the PLL registers as described there. The notebook did not show BSOD meaning that this should work. If you succeed please post what you did. -
Is it now possible to OC the CPU ? I can also write in the forum what is written on the PLL generator. On other Acer Laptops it's possbile. Why it's not possible on the 8735G ???

I don't have the T9600 anymore, but I have a question. I read about a BIOS mod in the 5739G Owner's lounge to make it possible to OC the cpu's FSB. I already have 1333 MHz ram and maybe I can get a better OC of my cpu.now the max for games is 3,33 ghz. Is such a Bios Mod possible and after that OCing it with SetFSB?
link to the post. it's #45 : http://forum.notebookreview.com/acer/588074-official-acer-aspire-5739g-owners-lounge-5.html -
Where are the 8735G owner's? I know about a BIOS mod with the 8735G, but will it allow overclocking of the FSB?
