    Hi Guys I Have An Acer Aspire 8920 Blu ray Not Working Keeps Telling Me To Insert Disc When You Click On Drive It Just Ejects It :confused: .Any Help On This Guys

    Hi and welcome to the forums!

    Does the same issue occur if you try to play a regular DVD? If you still get the same ejecting scenario, it could be a hardware failure and you'd need to contact Acer for a replacement blu-ray drive. Also try cleaning the optical drive. A dirty lens can also act the same way.

    hi thanks for reply. no everything is ok with other dvds just blu ray problem.can it be a driver problem dosent even play the demo dvd anymore.thanks jamie

    i have a simular problem to this but my B D disks will not play in acer arcade when ran from just running acer arcade i can play BD if i run sign in to windows is this correct

    HI, I would have thought to play any BD disks you'd have to be in windows itself as AA itself won't have the correct decoders. BTW, you should all be up to version 2.1.6010, there are at least two updates that can be had from within AA...

    my 8920 loads xp when i start AA from boot it plays DVD my current vers of AA is 206010 and it says no available updates
    one other question the 8920 comes with one hard drive where can i get the housng for the other drive slot thanks rich
