    Hi,
would some please help me to fix this problem?
I have a notebook Acer Aspire 8920 with recently installed Windows 7 home edition. Each time I switch it on I need to restart it as Wifi is not recognized. It is ok after the restart. The second problem I have is that date and time always changes to 26 Dec 2006 23:01. I need to manually change it or synchronize it with internet (the internet synchronization is switched on).
I will be grateful for any suggestion.
    Thank you,
    Eva

CMOS battery dying may be responsible for the date change- you should replace it.

its the cmos battery for sure. if you cant find a new one on ebay or else where online. just take the old one out of the system
and unpick the protective cover and replace the battery with a new cell crc 2032 if i remember corectly and then re cover it and pop it back
into your laptop. boot into the bios and set your time and date.

i had the same issue with my aspire 6920.
