    Hi all

I recently had to change my screen inverter as my backlights were playing up. When i put the laptop back together the ribbon/ffc cable from the motherboard to the power button shorted out. I then replaced this cable and now ive tried to turn on the laptop but it doesnt seem to boot.
It switches on, the HDD light comes on for about 3 seconds and goes off, the screen stays off aswell so I dont know if its doing anything.

    Please could someone help

    thanks

    Anyone?

I took out all the removable hardware and checked to see if it load up to a certain point but nothing. It didnt even beep to indicate "no memory"

    Could the motherboard be shot??

It is possible. Check if it boots with LCD cable disconnected- if it doesn't it probably means mobo died on you.
