I've just bought an Acer Aspire 9104 WLMI on a WEB site because I did not find it on a regular shop. I was very interested in the Arcade feature that should allow to watch video and listen to music without booting to Windows.

I tested the above feature and it doesn't work, or better, if there is a video DVD or audio CD it starts properly, but if I try to stop the current playing to change media the machine freezes and I have too remove the battery to reset it.

I read on Internet about the possibility to play audio/video also from hard disk and USB but it doesn't work. It always freezes.

Furthermore the Windows version of Arcade does not support DVX and when viewing photos with the autoview feature it shows them distorted.

Does anybody has the same PC at home/office? Does it works?

The ACER help desk seems to not be aware of this problem and does nor really help (they say to reinstal the SW on a just unpacked machine :(
