    Acer Aspire 9300 power light comes on but nothing eles

    hi there my acer aspire 9300 switched off on me tonight

    the power button lights up and i can feel air from the side heat exhaust
    but nothing eles,and the same thing happens just on battery without the power lead plugged in.


    can anyone help me

    please give better configuration of your system when you post.

    is there any hdd activity ??
    is there any light on the screen when u just turn it off or on ??

    did u try reinserting the CMOS battery of your system. please refer to operation manual to find how to take out the CMOS battery. pls post with the further developments

    LCD screen dosent come on

    how do i reset the cmos ? or how would i take the battery out

    this happened to my 6920 once and i turned off and turned on same thing and THANK GOD i turned it on the third time and it said my machine encountered a problem blah blah blah and it is trying to fix it and it restarted the system a few times

    that was a little over a week ago and it hasn't happened since

    Hi,
    I think I am having the exact same problem with my acer aspire 9300 laptop.
    My dad didn't log the laptop off properly, he just pressed and held the off button. Now the laptop won't start up again. When i press the on button the green light around it comes on but nothing comes onto the screen and nothing loads.
    It seems to be stuck in a state where it wasn't switched off properly and it can't get out of it!

    i rang acer on the warrenty and they couldnt figure it out
    so they have asked me to send it into them.

    when i get it back ill post what they fixed

    ok got my laptop back and the notes say the motherboard had died
    and they replaced it

    got a green power light and nothing else took battery out no hddd drive noise, no screen light up and i get nothing at all

    tried with just the battery and still got same thing, nothing
