    Note book uses a max of 4G DDR2 PC5300 memory can it operate with 4G DDR2 PC6400 memory? Please reply [email protected] or forum HELP URGENT deal on memory passing in 30 min

    Yes, 4GB DDR2 PC6400 (800mhz) will work, but the speed will probably downclock to 677mhz. ie it will perform the same as 4GB DDR2 PC5300 memory.

    Thank you for the info will just go ahead with 4G PC5300 then, since there will be no added bennifits with the PC6400 memory. Jim
