    Hello,

I have formatted my acer aspire 9410 and reinstalled my drivers but I really cannot get my sound to work. I get the message "no/bad DirectSound driver installed". I don't even know which type of sound card is installed (the same as the aspire 9420 btw). I thought is was a realtek HD audio sound card but when installing it manually through the hardware-wizard I get a blue screen!

    Please help!

Where did you get the driver from? There is an audio driver at the official Acer FTP site, you might want to try that. Right Click - Save Target As

Thanks but that's the one i've installed. Both through the setup wizard and manually.
