Can't seem to find the right webcam driver for this laptop.

I've tried Logitech, Bison, and Suyin drivers and NFG!
    Acer OrbiCam Driver (Suyin)
    Bison Camera Driver 6.96.0.06
    Camera_Logitech_10.4.0.1319_Vistax86XPx86_A

I get a message from Acer Orbicam, and Skype that there's no camera or there is a problem with it.

From what I've researched there is ten possibilities for the make/model of webcam in this particular Acer Aspire 9410-4441 model.

What's really strange is that after the Logitech/Orbicam install, the installation program says " Camera Detected" (see attached pic)!

Yet Orbicam and Skype report no camera detected upon startup!
    (see attached pics)

Can anybody suggest other drivers, that the ones I've already tried or why is it the camera is detected but is not available to Skype and Orbicam?

    thanks

Acer webcams were a problem a few years back. I had trouble on my Aspire 9301 after clean installing Vista but found the following worked.

There were two items needed. A driver and application.

Orbicam V1.0.0-19 and Orbicam V9-96-0-15 one of which was listed under "empowering technology and utiliities" on Acer site. One is a driver and one is an application that allows the webcam to open and be used to take stills or "movies".

I then had to hunt for that program in "all programs" on PC to open and put shortcuts to them.

It's a case of trying different drivers etc. All Acers suggestions failed. I'm sure one of mine is listed as an X.P. one but it works fine.
