    Hello!

I recently was forced to downgrade from Vista to XP SP2. Before downgrading I grabbed all of the needed XP drivers from the Acer website. Everything except for the Sound driver works. I need a Realtek driver, and have tried 7 drivers from 5 or so online sources including the Acer website, the Realtek website and a link off of this forum. None of them work. It installs correctly, and it appears on the add/remove programs list but it does not show up in the audio preferences. ALSO the sound properties systems tray icon doesn't show up. I need sound!!! Please help me!

Ah yes there is. But through searching I also found out another way to fix it. I had to install the UAA before the Realtek Driver. Thanks though! All fixed :D

I have the same problem, except, I wasn't smart enough to download the necessary XP drivers before reformatting. (**** my lack of computer knowledge)

Presently, I am screwed over with a bunch of "Other devices" that I have not been able to find in the list of hardwares. My USB ports and Internet is not working so I don't think I'm able to transfer files onto it. ...Unless, I can download and burn the necessary files onto a disc and from there, upload it to my laptop?? God help me, put me out of my misery, either by fixing my computer or letting me die!! ><<<<

All the screwed up stuff that I can't find hardware for:
    -Mass Storage Controller
    -PCI Device
    -PCI Device
    -SM Bus Controller
    -Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller
    -Video Controller
    -Video Controller (VGA Compatible)

Please Please Please Please help me, anyone =((( I'm at my wit's end and crying ><<< :(

intel cipset controller drivers for your chipset

and video drivers for what ever video is installed

those are the two drivers you need to install to fix the above problems
