I was just wondering which of these two laptops would you suggest? I am not looking for a really fancy laptop - rather one that has good specs and will run nice and fast. I wont be playing many games on it...just use it for university work, etc. Please let me know what you would suggest on choosing. And also...what makes the Ferrarri like $700 more?

The 5672 is a good general PC. Its got a dual core processor so multitasking is a breeze and 2 gigs of memory. The video card isn't too bad on it (9700mobility = X600 = X1400). Standard lcd screen (1280X800 resolution) with a nice glossy finish. It doesn't have the raw power of the ferrari, but its a good overall system.
The both have wifi, bluetooth, card reader, dvd burner. The 5672 comes with a 120gig HD, 2gigs of RAM, xp home, and a x1400 video card, while the ferrari has 100gb HD, 1 gig of RAM, x700 video card, and xp pro. The main reason for the price difference is that the ferrai comes with a nice carbon fiber finish, glossy red accents, wireless mouse. And of course the little prancing horse
I went for the 5672 for the dual core processor and the 2 gigs of RAM (mostly use it for programming and surfing around school), but I do wish Acer gave it more ... flair.... -
Yeah, my Ferrari just got stolen from my dorm room...so I am reluctant to buy the same one. However, I never had any problems with it and I can get a new one for only $2250.
Do you think it is worth it to get a Ferrari if I am just using it for University and school? Or do you have to be a big-time gamer to get the full use out of it? I already know its an amazing laptop, but do you think the Aspire 5672 would do me just as good? Please let me know your opinion.
P.S. - Im only using it for homework, music, movies, and a bit of gaming. -
ouch.... stolen??? That'll make me think twice before leaving my laptop in my dorm room now... lol
Anyways, I would recommend the Aspire as it fits your needs perfectly.
