Hi!
I have an Acer Aspire ethos 5943G and I have been using standard 3.5mm headphones for it but they keep breaking so I proceeded to look at exactly what kind of socket I have been plugging them into and it turns out it was a SPDIF one (which by the way had the little sign indicating that headphones can be plugged in there). Could anyone tell me what do I need to buy in order to make that socket safe and usable for 3.5 mm headphones or if there are any headphones for that particular socket on the market?
Thank you!!!!

Regular headphones should work. Maybe you'd like to buy a headphone extension cable for it so that the cable sacrifices it's life for the headphone's?

Irina, where did you find the 5943G available for purchase? I've been unable to find any information regarding the sale of this laptop anywhere on the web. The Acer website has no information regarding this laptop either. Thank you for any help.

It's likely be phased out for the 5950g.
