Hello There. I've got an old Aspier 2010 and intermitently at first the left/right arrow keys stopped working along with the delete key. Now it's all the time. This means I can't adjust the screen brightness or access ctr-alt-del which are significant issues. I know it's not too difficult or expensive to replace my keyboard but I was wondering if there would be a way to see if the keyboard is even the issue. Ther really odd thing is that although the up/down arrow are situated right between the left and right arrows, they continue to work perfectly. Any ideas; anyone?

I would pop out the KB and see if the ribbon has worked itself loose.

First off, thanks Bronsky for your sound suggestion. Sadly though, that didn't solve the problem. I'm thinking of getting an external keypad with arrow and del keys to see if I can side step the problem. I'll post the results in case anyone shares my problem. Of course if the keypad does work, I'll probably replace the keyboard and report back again.

Follow Up. I ordered a keyboard since it was inexpensive but before it arrived my del key as well as my left-right arrow keys have inexplicably decided to work and have been functioning normally for the past week. If and when they go bad again, I'll replace the keyboard and report back.

You can always try using the Windows onscreen keyboard in a pinch.
